Seven-2-Twelve Me (Life Journal ~ Part 2)

What would you have remembered during the Primary School days.
The 'good' teachers, the 'bad' teachers, the 'ever-smiling' teachers, & the 'ever-scolding' ones.

'Mee Rebus', 'Mee Pok'-dry, grass-jelly drinks, soya bean drinks etc.;
The magnificent stage, the assembly time - flag raising and lowering ceremony;
The endless homeworks, tests, exams..
Good friends, no-good friends, buddies, 'boy'-friends, friend's love, puppy-love :)

Sports Day (from Primary 4onwards, all the way to Primary 6), I was the well-known sprinter then, the one who always comes in 1st, in 100m, 200m, and my ever-No.1 4x100m relay-team. Was there a better runner then - not that anyone can think of. I was trained the hardest way and soon I was representing my school, in inter-schools race and winning every race. My confidence and perseverance builds up, with each winning race. And each time after I won, the harder I would train. My best timing recorded 12.59sec (taken from one of the training sessions, the one which I collapsed upon reaching the winning-line). My greatest achievement in running - I was qualified into the Singapore National's Race - Of course I wasn't happy ~I was simply extremely THRILLED!

I anticipated the day, I trained extra hard, I counted the days...I was filled with confidence bcos all this years, I was Number 1! On that very day, the school hired 2 coaches to bring the supporters there. I was Sooo nervous and I know I have to calm myself before I make my step on the track. We reach the stadium, the car park was already filled with coaches and filled with students (supporters), trainers and their 'disciples'. I was so excited, and as a make my first step on the track, I found myself 'talking' to the track: I finally made it to 'you'. I was at the competitors ' stand, waiting anxiously for my Heat-number.. I asked myself: what if i can't make it to the Finals? What if I fail my supporters, my trainers? What ifsssss. My questions were soon answered. I didn't make it to the Final. I failed myself...Friends, supporters, trainers - all consoled me. I smiled and sat quiet throughout the whole journey back to school. I told myself: I have not really given my best. And it was from then on, I aimed not to fail myself in any way.

NETBALL - this was my 2nd BEST. My team was the STRONGEST in North District, We made our name and we were proud. The Best game was 26-0 (ChongBoon Vs Ahmad Ibrahim). We were like the Unbeatables! Our trainer - Mdm Molly Chan, also my form-teacher then, was so proud of me, proud of US.

I learnt that Hardwork brings Success.
If one is diligent, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.
